The sale closed at an astounding 226% over the initial asking price, and the sellers are thrilled!
The home’s design was envisioned by Architect Kenneth McGahren, a specialist in contemporary homes with demonstrated success throughout New Canaan and Pound Ridge. McGahren brought his family up in the home next door and always admired the eight-acre property, eventually purchasing it in 2016 to design his dream home.
As the listing agent, I worked directly with the family to prepare the home for sale, including painting and staging. I would also like to thank Liz Pensiero, who artfully mixed the existing mid-century modern furniture with some contemporary accents to produce a home that was unique, modern and desirable to all generations. Needless to say, a bidding war ensued nearly instantly after it hit the market.
